A QGenda Case Study
Children’s Nebraska, a full-service pediatric hospital and medical center serving a five-state region, needed a better way to manage roughly 200 clinic and exam rooms across its main campus and outreach locations. Using disconnected tools, spreadsheets, Outlook calendars, and manual updates created inefficiencies, human error, and limited visibility into provider schedules, room availability, and utilization. The organization turned to QGenda for a unified approach to provider scheduling, on-call management, and exam room capacity management.
QGenda implemented QGenda Advanced Scheduling for Providers, QGenda On-Call, QGenda Capacity for Clinic and Exam Rooms, QGenda Insights, and an Epic integration to connect room planning with real-time provider and patient appointment data. As a result, Children’s Nebraska automated and standardized scheduling processes, improved decision-making with real-time analytics, and increased overall exam room utilization by 6%, including a nearly 7% gain at the main campus and about 21% at an outreach clinic.
