Children’s Nebraska Improves Clinical Capacity Management

Children’s Nebraska, a full-service pediatric hospital and medical center serving a five-state region, needed to modernize workforce management across provider scheduling, on-call coverage, and clinic/exam room management. Its manual Microsoft Outlook-based scheduling process was slow and difficult to maintain, schedule changes were hard to track, and the hospital also struggled with long patient wait times and limited visibility into room usage. Children’s Nebraska turned to QGenda and its ProviderCloud platform to address these challenges.

QGenda implemented ProviderCloud, including QGenda Advanced Scheduling for Providers, QGenda Capacity, and QGenda On-Call, giving Children’s Nebraska a single source of truth for schedules, on-call data, and room availability. The result was faster, optimized schedule generation with fewer manual changes, centralized and accurate on-call communication integrated with Voalte, and improved clinic and exam room utilization to increase patient throughput and access to care.
