User Experience Demands Comprehensive Quality Control

Suunto, the Finnish manufacturer of sports watches and dive computers, needed highly comprehensive quality control for its R&D work to ensure both technical reliability and a safe user experience in demanding diving conditions. Qentinel supported Suunto in testing its EON diving instruments and related digital services, where even small defects could have serious safety consequences.

Qentinel implemented test automation using Robot Framework, connecting several Suunto instruments to a test bench to automatically adjust instrument fields and perform overnight software upgrades. This improved validation of devices, software, and service compatibility, and the new features and flexibility were well received by end users, helping Suunto confirm comprehensive quality across its products and deliver a safer, better user experience.
