The Test Automation Library Built During a Finnish Tax Administration Project Published for Open Source

The Finnish Tax Administration needed a flexible, future-proof test automation approach for its complex, constantly changing taxation systems as it unified its business landscape onto the GenTax platform. Qentinel provided an open source, Robot Framework-based test automation solution, including the QWeb library used in Qentinel Pace.

Qentinel implemented and refined QWeb to support both the GenTax environment and the Tax Administration’s income register, enabling unified tools and processes across systems. The result was easier maintenance, faster scaling in the cloud, and strong support for continuous legislative changes; the impact of automatic testing was estimated at around 160 million euros versus manual testing.
