A Qentinel Case Study
Siemens, working to improve productivity and support the digitalization of its Nestlé Puljonki production facility, needed a better way to understand the plant as a whole — including its technology, processes, practices, people, and the value created across operations. To tackle this challenge, Siemens partnered with Qentinel and explored Qentinel’s Value Creation Model as a way to map value and clarify cause-and-effect relationships within the production environment.
Qentinel helped Siemens build a Value Creation Model through workshops and interviews, defining value paths such as process reliability and involving staff in the design to keep the model practical and realistic. The result was a simplified, transparent overview of plant operations that improved understanding across teams and is now used as a tool for continuous development; while the case study does not provide numeric KPIs, Siemens reports a significant increase in insight into both the customer and production plant operations.
