A Qentinel Case Study
HUS, the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa, operates 24 hospitals and more than 15,000 workstations, relying on patient information systems used by nursing staff around the clock. The challenge was to detect slowdowns in search performance quickly enough to protect clinical workflows, since even a few seconds of delay can affect both productivity and finances.
Qentinel worked with HUS Tietohallinto to build an automated monitoring service that measures patient information search times and triggers alarms when performance slows in any covered HUS unit. The solution provides real-time, unit-specific visibility on a large IT support center display, improving service quality, reliability, and the smoothness of clinical work, while replacing manual stopwatch-based checks with continuous application-level monitoring.
