TKO Associates, a wholesale supplier of high-end residential and commercial decorative hardware and plumbing fixtures, was struggling to produce invoice- and line-item-level P&L reports from QuickBooks Enterprise to calculate monthly gross-profit-based commissions. Because QuickBooks’ job-level P&L couldn’t break out individual invoices that spanned months or years, TKO’s commission process required downloading two reports into Excel and merging them manually, which was labor-intensive and error-prone. QCommission was identified as a solution to automate and streamline this workflow.
QCommission’s team customized the commission system for TKO, adding a “date completed” field and developing queries for interim and line-item P&Ls, mass-holding sales without costs, and downloadable individual salesperson reports. The implementation eliminated the manual Excel merges, reduced errors, sped up monthly commission runs, and gave salespeople visibility into their results throughout the month — delivering measurable savings in labor, greater accuracy, and higher sales-team satisfaction.
