Health Plans of North Carolina, an independent agency selling BCBSNC products, faced a complex commission structure with annualized and non-annualized splits among agents, the agency and sub-agents, plus monthly electronic sales files from BCBSNC. Calculating the annualized portion and reconciling historical transactions in Excel was unreliable and time-consuming, so Scott Ashcraft selected QCommission (including its QXChange data integration tool) to address the challenge.
QCommission’s implementation team imported BCBSNC’s monthly sales files, configured calculation rules and trained staff so commissions are computed automatically and statements emailed or viewed online. Using QCommission reduced Scott’s monthly commission processing to under 30 minutes, produced accurate, predictable payouts and detailed statements for agents, eliminating prior reconciliation headaches and improving transparency.
