Airbus Blue Sky advances quantum computing over 5 years with QC Ware

QC Ware collaborated with Airbus Blue Sky to address challenges in aerospace optimization. The customer faced two primary challenges: a design verification optimization challenge to determine which combination of faults could cause a system failure, and a flight path optimization challenge to find the best route while minimizing time and fuel and avoiding weather.

To address these, QC Ware developed custom algorithms. The solution explored how quantum computing could potentially rival traditional fault tree analysis software for design verification. For flight paths, a quantum approach was used to optimize the route. The outcome was that Airbus Blue Sky achieved a strong industrial position in quantum computing through the partnership with QC Ware.
