Warrior is a leading cloud services/content management provider with more than 14 million users and a fast growth trajectory that required weekly releases across many browsers, platforms and devices — and had little to no QA documentation. To address these challenges, QASource was engaged via its Team Extension solution with Test Automation to supplement Warrior’s in‑house teams and improve release velocity and coverage.

QASource supplied a dedicated QA team (growing from an initial 3 to 12 members), access to test labs and its TCMS test‑case management system, and a Scala/PHP‑unit automation framework that runs 2,000 test cases daily in about five hours (the equivalent of 16 engineers). QASource’s work uncovered 4,240 critical defects in 2012, reduced QA bottlenecks, sped releases, lowered costs for training and HR, and delivered measurable efficiencies and improved product quality.
