QArea partnered with Knozen, Inc., a U.S.-based social networking startup, to develop a secure, user-centric iOS application for colleagues and friends. The challenge was to create a fun, interactive product with strong social gamification, smooth communication features, and a solid client-server architecture that could fully leverage social media connectivity.

QArea delivered an iOS solution built with REST API-based communication, CoreData and file-system-backed local storage, and integrations with Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, and Twitter, along with analytics and logging via Mixpanel and Google Analytics. The app was well received, helping Knozen become recognized by Business Insider as one of the hottest startups, with measurable engagement including 10% of users spending 137 minutes per month in the app, an average of 2.2 invite shares per user, and more than 900,000 questions answered; QArea also helped achieve an 87% satisfaction rate, 57% mobile app conversion, and a 7% bounce-rate decrease.
