QArea worked with Keeveo, an e-commerce and retail customer in Spain, to build a portal for searching, purchasing, deploying, and marketing goods such as designer clothing and accessories. The original challenge was to create a platform where users could set up their own online shops, manage products, and handle customer orders.

QArea delivered a Drupal 6 and Ubercart-based solution with Sphinx search, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and Apache on Linux. The platform enabled shop creation and customization, product publishing and stock management, order and return handling, invoices, automatic indexing of shops and goods, and an RSS feed for marketing; the project ran for 6 months with a 3-person team, improving search speed and reducing server load.
