A QAD Case Study
MAUSER, founded in 1896 in Germany, is a global industrial packaging manufacturer with a long history of innovation. After an ERP upgrade they found their legacy, locally developed transportation management tools couldn’t scale: shipping processes varied by country, visibility into freight spend was limited, and managing hundreds of carriers created significant complexity. MAUSER needed a standardized, low‑customization TMS to unify dispatch processes, consolidate freight where possible, and gain one view of costs across sites.
MAUSER selected QAD TMS (integrated with QAD ERP) and rolled it out across Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, France and Italy. Shipments now auto-interface from order management, carriers are assigned by rules, costs are estimated, self‑billing reports are produced, and carrier tariffs can be uploaded from Excel. The implementation standardized and automated dispatch, greatly reduced the time to collate freight‑spend reports, simplified rate maintenance for hundreds of carriers, and improved control and benchmarking of monthly freight costs across Europe.
