JCM Global, a Las Vegas–based designer and manufacturer of cash‑handling and validation systems for casinos, retail and other industries, was running an ERP version that hadn’t been upgraded in a decade. With multiple sites on separate databases and growing pain from outdated processes and customizations, the company needed a fast, cost‑effective upgrade that minimized disruption and justified the investment to finance and IT stakeholders.
JCM chose QAD’s Realignment approach and used QAD’s Easy On Boarding (EOB) methodology to perform an in‑house upgrade with QAD as a consultant. By cleansing and consolidating data rather than migrating full history, eliminating about 96% of customizations, retiring third‑party tools (saving $24,000/year), and improving search, reporting and support workflows, JCM reduced costs, gained deeper ERP knowledge and positioned itself for easier, more frequent future upgrades.
