Lasko Products, a century-old market leader in electric fans and ceramic heaters with four manufacturing and distribution sites, faced growing operational risk from seasonal demand swings, retailer-specific compliance requirements and an aging QAD ERP system full of legacy customizations. The company needed better inventory, planning and financial capabilities to stay competitive and decided to evaluate a move to QAD Enterprise Edition (EE).
Working with QAD consultants, Lasko upgraded to EE—consolidating multiple databases into one master, cleansing 20 years of data, and eliminating roughly 50% of customizations while implementing stronger financials and reporting. The weekend go‑live had minimal disruption, delivering improved ledger/reporting, streamlined finance processes, a foundation for demand planning and order automation, and recognition as QAD’s Upgrade Customer of the Year.
