Yanfeng Automotive Interiors (YFAI) India, part of the global Yanfeng Automotive Interiors group, operates a high-volume plant producing instrument panels, door trims and console systems. The facility struggled with manual, spreadsheet-based procurement and no real-time link to its 22 suppliers, which led to inventory overages and shortages, missed deliveries and frequent premium air freight to meet customer orders.
YFAI implemented the cloud-based QAD Supplier Portal to provide secure, real-time visibility of forecasts, POs, ASNs, invoices and GRNs to suppliers. The portal drove major improvements: a 90% reduction in missed deliveries, a 25% cut in inventory with elimination of shortage/overage issues, inventory turns rising from 40 to 70, fewer premium shipments, faster payments and a head-count reduction.
