How Tsubakimoto's upgrade and structured move to the QAD cloud resulted in mirror systems between new and established sites
Tsubakimoto UK Ltd, part of Osaka-based Tsubakimoto Chain Co., is a leading manufacturer of automotive parts and timing systems that opened a new purpose-built plant in the Czech Republic. Because the new site had no on-site IT and the division needed a common, up-to-date ERP across both locations, Tsubakimoto required an upgrade of its on-premise QAD system and a move to the QAD Cloud to support expansion.
Working with QAD and using QAD Easy On Boarding, Tsubakimoto “lifted and shifted” the UK ERP to the cloud, developed a Business Process Workbook as a rollout template, upgraded the UK site, and mirrored that template at the Czech plant. The initial move and workbook took four months, with the upgrade and Czech go‑live completed in just over three months, resulting in mirror systems, streamlined EDI via QAD Cloud EDI, minimal disruption and a 50% reduction in time to implement new sites, while positioning the company for future automation and UX improvements.
