HAPM Magna Seating System - Customer Case Study

HAPM Magna Seating System (Thailand) is a joint venture automotive supplier set up to produce seat assemblies and related parts, and faced a tight five-month deadline to begin deliveries for a new BMW X5 program with no existing IT systems. The new plant needed reliable forecasting, supply-chain visibility and best-practice business processes to meet OEM expectations and support planned growth.

HAPM chose QAD Adaptive ERP in the cloud and used QAD’s Easy On Boarding to go live in the required timeframe, avoiding heavy customizations and improving data accuracy and security. Implementation lifted production from a planned nine sets per hour to 10–11, and the company is rolling out additional QAD modules (Automation Solutions, Supplier Portal, Adaptive UX and Production Execution) to boost visibility, supplier collaboration and productivity as it scales.
