Cascade Engineering, a Grand Rapids–based manufacturer of large-scale plastic injection–molded products serving automotive, commercial, waste/recycling, furniture and other markets, needed to manage extensive, highly specific documentation and regulatory requirements across 11 business units. Their prior quality management software was cumbersome and slow, causing duplicate data entry, long manual processes and lost productivity that hindered customer satisfaction.

Cascade implemented QAD EQMS as a fully integrated quality management system, creating a centralized repository, automated document control and workflows, gage calibration, audits, APQP processes and data synchronization. After training 600+ employees and onboarding about 100 suppliers, the company eliminated redundancies and manual rework, improved cross‑company visibility and supplier communication, and achieved measurable gains including 3,583 man‑hours saved annually, higher productivity and better quality management.
