A QAD Case Study
Bickford’s Group, a food and beverage company in Adelaide, Australia, faced the challenge of managing a highly complex distribution network and heavy promotional activity across retailers, independents, and distributors. With thousands of open promotions, claims, and account combinations to track, the company needed a more automated way to control trade spend and improve visibility. Bickford’s Group had been a long-time QAD ERP customer and was looking at QAD Trade Activity Management (TAM) to replace an outdated promotions module.
QAD implemented QAD Trade Activity Management (TAM) to help Bickford’s Group automate promotion management, better monitor rebates and discounts, and ensure charges were posted to the correct general ledger accounts. The solution improved visibility into more than 1,500 open promotions and helped process over 24,000 claims in a month, resulting in around 500 accrual entries and more than 5,000 earned discounts. By using QAD, Bickford’s Group was able to better control trade spend and maximize promotional return.
