ANCA Streamlines Procurement with the QAD Supplier Portal

ANCA is an Australian maker of CNC grinding machines and motion-control systems with more than 1,100 employees and customers in 45+ countries. Because many critical parts are proprietary, often sole-sourced and carry long lead times (some up to 12 months), ANCA needed to streamline purchasing, improve supplier communication, gain visibility into in‑transit and consigned inventory, and move from traditional purchase orders to supplier schedules.

ANCA implemented the cloud-based QAD Supplier Portal, chosen for fast implementation, intuitive UX and easy ERP integration that avoided complex EDI for smaller suppliers. The portal enabled real‑time demand sharing, ASNs, barcode receipts and support for PO, schedule, Kanban, VMI and consignment models. Rolled out to 70 top suppliers (with plans for 100), the solution improved communication within days, reduced order and expediting costs, lowered errors, and delivered better visibility and reconciliation of consigned and in‑transit inventory.
