Case Study: Edwards Garment achieves streamlined complex uniform ordering and grows to 8,500 active accounts with QAD Digital Commerce

A QAD Digital Commerce Case Study

Preview of the Edwards Garment Case Study

How a uniform and apparel company simplified order-taking, built business efficiencies

Edwards Garment, a century-old uniform and apparel supplier, needed a modern e-commerce platform after its PIC Business Systems–tied site couldn’t handle complex decorated uniform orders, forcing customers to call customer service. After reviewing options, Edwards chose QAD Digital Commerce and its SaaS e-commerce platform to deliver the flexible, industry-specific features the company required.

QAD Digital Commerce implemented API-driven real-time ERP pricing and order-status integrations, product configurators for size/color/logo selection, real-time inventory, account/sub-account management for distributors, and a returns module to enable self-service. The result: Edwards now has more than 8,500 active accounts and services about 4,000 distributors (up from ~2,500), 29% of sales occur through the site, and the platform went from zero capability for decorated orders to handling them fully online without phone support.
