A QAD DynaSys Case Study
CÉMOI Group, France’s leading chocolate maker with 15 facilities worldwide, faced a complex, seasonal and multi‑product supply chain with heterogeneous information systems that made forecasting, production and inventory planning difficult. To standardize, centralize and improve agility in planning, CÉMOI selected QAD DynaSys’ Demand & Supply Chain Planning (DSCP) solution suite to support its production, demand, distribution and procurement planning needs.
QAD DynaSys implemented DSCP starting in 2003 (with Production Planning piloted in January 2004) and rolled out Demand Planning, Distribution Planning and Procurement Planning, while standardizing systems and enabling shared forecasts and S&OP. The QAD DynaSys solution gave CÉMOI real‑time network visibility and flexibility (allowing rapid recovery after a plant loss) and delivered measurable impact: customer service rose from 89% to over 99% and inventory levels were cut by half.
