Etsy’s Unique IR Website is Designed to Scale with its Investor Community

Etsy, a global e-commerce marketplace known for unique, handcrafted goods, faced a challenge with its outdated investor relations website. The original site, created for its 2015 IPO, was plain and failed to communicate the company's unique brand, growth momentum, and investment thesis to a rapidly expanding base of institutional investors. To address this, Etsy's VP of Investor Relations, Deb Wasser, partnered with vendor Q4 to redesign and expand the IR website into a more effective communication tool.

Q4 collaborated with Etsy to create a highly informative and bespoke IR website that clearly articulated the company's investment thesis and human-centric brand. The solution included rich content, seller videos, and integrated impact reporting, making the site a central hub for investors and a valuable recruiting tool. The results were significant, with Etsy's sell-side coverage doubling to 18 firms and the site providing crucial analytics to guide future IR strategy, effectively scaling with the company's continued growth.
