Pythian Supports Mapp Digital in their Cloud Strategy

Mapp Digital, a digital marketing/SaaS company, needed to move its large customer engagement platform from an in-house data center to AWS while improving performance, consolidating databases, and minimizing downtime. With help from Pythian, the company planned a migration for its Oracle RDBMS and MySQL environment, including more than 50 TB of data and strict privacy and security requirements.

Pythian supported Mapp Digital from initial consulting through migration testing, cutover, and ongoing database management in the cloud. The migration went live on schedule with only four hours of downtime, the application now runs at twice the speed, and Mapp Digital also reduced costs by moving to cloud services instead of leased equipment.
