Empyrean Solutions, a Boston-based provider of risk and performance management software for banks and credit unions, needed a productized, embedded reporting solution to unify data across its growing suite of applications and deliver data‑intensive financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, large tabular reports) for many separate customers. After a poor experience with a prior vendor, Empyrean evaluated 40+ options and required a reliable, multi-tenant platform that could pull from each client’s database and handle complex hierarchies and reporting styles.

Pyramid Analytics’ Decision Intelligence Platform delivered multisource direct data access, parent-child/ragged hierarchies, easy embedding (scalable to ~10,000 customers), and responsive support, plus secure direct queries to each tenant’s SQL database. As a result, Empyrean embedded Pyramid as its primary reporting tool, now offers bespoke, single‑source reports, dashboards, and scorecards for each client, has improved user experience and competitive differentiation, and is positioned to aggregate data and build new revenue streams.
