A Pushwoosh Case Study
Nexters, one of the largest game developers, faced the challenge of retaining players for its flagship RPG Hero Wars across mobile and web platforms. With acquisition costs rising, the studio needed to react to in-game player behavior at a massive scale of over a billion events per month without overwhelming users with generic notifications. Their previous solution was expensive to scale and required managing two separate vendors. They turned to Pushwoosh to find a platform that could handle this immense technical load and complex game logic.
Pushwoosh implemented its Customer Journey Builder to automate cross-platform retention across mobile push, web push, and email. The solution absorbed over a billion monthly events and modeled complex scenarios like group entries and timer rescheduling. This allowed Nexters to build 62 custom event-triggered journeys, which significantly cut player churn by double digits. Pushwoosh enabled the Hero Wars team to run all player communication automatically from a single platform at a scale it was bought for.
