ASKfm, a global social Q&A network, needed to boost user activity, retention and communication with millions of users—informing them about profile updates, service messages, marketing surveys and promoting its cryptocurrency AskCoin. To address this, ASKfm partnered with Pushwoosh to deploy cross-channel communications using push notifications and email.

Pushwoosh implemented fast push notifications and targeted emails to deliver new-question alerts and updates, achieving a very high engagement rate (12–13% average CTR). ASKfm now sends over 500 million notifications monthly, serves 12.6 million active users with 8.6 million subscribed to push notifications, and uses Pushwoosh to promote AskCoin and collect user feedback—driving measurable improvements in activity and retention.
