A PushPress Case Study
CrossFit Station, run by Trina and Tony Kubitschek in Boise, Idaho, struggled for years to host the annual CrossFit Open using pencil, paper and a whiteboard. Heat sign-ups were first-come-first-served, late additions routinely extended evenings, and coaches couldn’t reliably plan equipment, scaling or athlete briefings. In January 2019 they adopted PushPress to replace manual billing, attendance and scheduling and to better manage the Open.
Using PushPress, CrossFit Station set up Open workouts as classes with timed heats, caps and in-app reservations so athletes can sign up, check in and see who’s in their heat. The electronic heat times, easy workout publishing to gym screens, and visibility into attendees let coaches pre-stage equipment and scaling plans, cut down admin time, prevent last-minute additions and shift responsibility to members. After just three Open workouts with PushPress the gym reported smoother nights, “way less stressful” events, less confusion and more predictable, efficient evenings.
