A PushFar Case Study
Limit Break, a mentorship program for underrepresented people in the UK games industry, faced significant challenges in manually matching a rapidly growing number of mentors and mentees. Their process, which involved spreadsheets and physical printouts, was overwhelmingly time-consuming. They needed a scalable solution to support their diverse community, including underrepresented genders, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people of color, especially as they planned to expand internationally.
PushFar provided an accessible and intuitive mentoring software platform to automate and streamline the matching process. The solution enabled members to self-match and use specific tags to find mentors from particular backgrounds, eliminating admin bias. As a result, Limit Break scaled its program to 700 members, saw an increase in member retention, and formed lasting mentoring relationships. The program's success has made it easier to attract sponsors and generated international interest in expanding the community.
