Sprint.ly is a collaboration tool for software teams that tackles poor communication and lack of transparency in development. To deliver instant updates and better responsiveness, Sprint.ly integrated Pusher to power real-time updating and to keep their local data model constantly refreshed, avoiding costly remote fetching.

Using Pusher, Sprint.ly implemented a pipeline where Django post-save signals send JSON to Amazon SQS and Celery, which pushes events to Pusher; the Backbone.js front end listens for Pusher events, updates local models, and the UI updates automatically. The result was immediate, cross-window updates, improved performance and smoother team collaboration—Pusher enabled Sprint.ly to make changes visible instantly and reduce the need for remote fetches.
