How Snappy uses Pusher

Snappy is a streamlined customer support application for small teams that wanted a very fast, real-time experience for handling customer emails and reporting. To meet this challenge Snappy integrated Pusher (using public, private and presence channels, plus the Pusher Server library on the PHP backend and client-side plugins) and has been using the service since April 2012.

Pusher powers Snappy’s public channels for news and deploy notifications (and to kick out clients when needed), private channels to keep messages, settings and phrases synchronized so clients rarely need server requests, and presence channels to show which teammates are viewing the same request. The result, enabled by Pusher, is real-time updates, fewer server requests, faster response times, and immediate collaboration visibility for support teams.
