Printful, a print-on-demand platform for custom bags, shirts, posters and integrated e-commerce fulfillment, needed realtime experiences across its customer journey — from large drag-and-drop file uploads and live order displays to internal task coordination — while avoiding the cost and complexity of managing their own realtime infrastructure. To solve this they chose Pusher to power realtime updates throughout their stack.

Using Pusher, Printful implemented realtime file-upload progress (supporting up to 50 files at once), a live orders feed on the homepage that served as social proof (an A/B test showed this increased conversion rate and revenue), internal task-locking notifications to prevent duplicate work, and conversion-progress indicators for generated files.
