Wholesome Yum Gets Upto 7% of Extra Traffic from PushEngage

Wholesome Yum, a high-traffic recipe site founded by Maya Krampf that attracts over a million monthly visits, needed a cost-effective way to capitalize on visitors, re-engage users, and quickly notify readers about new low-carb recipes. To solve these challenges they turned to PushEngage and its web push notification service to capture and reach users without relying solely on email or social channels.

PushEngage implemented one-click web push subscriptions, tiered pricing, and timely notifications so Wholesome Yum could automate updates and re-engage visitors. The results: push accounted for 5–7% of total traffic, push subscribers grew to 1.5× the email list accumulated over three years, push view rates (~65%) and CTRs (3.5–4.5%) were more than double email, and users from PushEngage showed higher loyalty and longer site sessions.
