How Vegis Gets 10x More Push Subscribers Than Email Subscribers

Vegis is a leading Romanian online shop for healthy products with over 6,500 SKUs and more than 400K monthly visitors. To keep customers engaged with frequent product launches and time-sensitive perishable items, Vegis partnered with PushEngage to use web push notifications (welcome, drip and large-image notifications) as a cost-effective, real-time channel.

PushEngage implemented targeted push campaigns, drip sequences, and large-image notifications to promote products and clearance sales, simplifying campaign creation and delivery. The result: subscriptions rose to 5% (vs. 0.5% email), open rates jumped to 50% (vs. 12% email), PushEngage drove 2% of Vegis’s traffic and 2% of revenue—becoming the 9th source of revenue—and large-image notifications produced a 37% higher CTR.
