Tryon International Equestrian Center - Customer Case Study

Tryon International Equestrian Center, host of the FEI World Equestrian Games Tryon 2018, needed a scalable, secure guest WiFi solution and the ability to capture customer data and track footfall because their existing infrastructure didn’t provide those capabilities. They partnered with Purple (deployed alongside Ruckus) to deliver a guest WiFi network with built-in WiFi analytics.

Purple installed the solution across 343 access points, enabling secure connectivity while capturing demographic, contact and behavioral data; over the 13-day event Tryon recorded 1.3 million visits and collected 7,542 new customer records. With Purple’s presence and location analytics across nine zones (World Equine Expo and Tryon Stadium were the top locations), Tryon can now personalize engagement, refine marketing and generate new revenue opportunities.
