Sugar On Top is an Asian fusion café chain across Malaysia that wanted to turn its WiFi into a tool for deeper customer engagement and loyalty. Lacking analytics from their existing network — and little visibility into visit frequency, menu preferences or when to trigger loyalty offers — they engaged Purple to provide WiFi analytics and a social-login solution to capture customer data and enable personalised marketing.
Purple implemented its WiFi analytics and user-friendly social login platform to collect demographic and visit data (name, email, age, gender, hometown and visit frequency) and power targeted campaigns. The results: a 160% increase in customers connecting to WiFi, a 30% rise in Facebook likes, 60% of new customers returning for second and third visits and a 40% increase in membership applications, driving stronger loyalty and sales for Sugar On Top.
