schuh partnered with Purple (Purple WiFi) to solve a specific retail challenge: provide an easy-to-use guest WiFi that supports social login or short forms, seamless return visits, editable login/redirect pages, built-in analytics and API access, and to drive customers to schuh’s mobile stock-checking service. They also wanted to enable in‑store mobile payments and encourage social sharing without relying on cellular networks.
Purple worked with Egton and Cisco Meraki to deploy Purple WiFi across schuh stores, already installed in two thirds of the estate (over 100 stores) with full rollout planned by Q2. The solution auto-directs customers to www.findmysize.co.uk for real-time mobile stock checks, supports a separate secure channel for mobile payments, provides analytics and editable portals, and delivered lower costs per store and easier remote management—improving customer experience, social engagement and operational efficiency.
