Queensland Airports Limited select Purple and FLEXdata Solutions for their WiFi and location analytics solution

Queensland Airports Limited selected Purple (with certified partner FLEXdata Solutions) to replace an outsourced managed WiFi service that offered no analytics. QAL contracted Purple’s cloud-based guest WiFi and location analytics solution (installed alongside Cisco Meraki Wireless at four airports, including Gold Coast Airport) to gain visibility into customer identity, footfall and data usage.

Purple’s platform now delivers real-time guest WiFi, targeted marketing and location analytics reports (repeat vs new visitors, visitor origin, device type, visitor counts, dwell times, queueing and engagement metrics). Using Purple, QAL has improved passenger journey insights, reduced wait times in key zones, optimised signage placement and can run intelligent, timely marketing — all under a three‑year contract with Purple and FLEXdata Solutions.
