Purple WiFi partners with Molson Coors to provide WiFi hotspot-driven CRM system

Molson Coors, one of the UK’s biggest brewers, partnered with Purple to address a common on-trade challenge: helping pubs drive sales, build loyalty and capture customer data through modern digital engagement. Using Purple WiFi’s cloud-based social WiFi software (deployed as the “Molson Coors Cloud”) on pre-configured TP‑LINK WDR3600 routers, the solution offered secure, gated hotspot access at venues stocking Molson Coors brands.

Purple’s implementation lets patrons log in via a short form or social account (with optional Facebook Like/Twitter Follow), captures consented data (name, age, gender, location, email, mobile) and stores it in the MolsonCoorsCloud.com portal for analytics and targeted marketing. Trialed across 20 UK venues for six months, the Purple-enabled portal drove more traffic to free WiFi, unlocked easy-to-run marketing opportunities, improved customer insights, helped identify new event markets and produced increased numbers of returning customers.
