Paignton Zoo, part of the Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust, wanted to improve visitor experience and capture richer guest data across its sites. To achieve this they partnered with Acronyms and vendor Purple to deploy a branded guest WiFi solution and analytics platform that would let visitors quickly log in, share content and allow the marketing team to gather visitor insights.

Purple’s WiFi and analytics (installed alongside Meraki routers by Acronyms) delivered bespoke splash pages, simple social/form logins, content filtering for younger users and CRM export/automation. The rollout has produced measurable results: 26,344 lines of active customer data collected, an average session length of nearly an hour, 40% of users aged 24 and under, protection applied to 50% of younger users, and regular email/coupon campaigns driven from Purple data — all improving guest satisfaction and marketing effectiveness.
