Nisa customers repeatedly asked for WiFi – and we delivered

Nisa Retail Ltd, whose central Cardiff convenience store sits near Cardiff Castle and the university, faced repeated customer requests for free guest WiFi that were driving people to nearby venues instead. To address this, Purple (working with partner ITSourced) provided a managed Purple WiFi solution using Cisco technology to deliver reliable, secure cloud-hosted connectivity.

Purple implemented four Cisco Aironet access points, a WLAN controller and the Cisco Mobility Services Engine hosted in the Purple cloud, giving Nisa presence analytics, heat mapping and social-login functionality. The result was measurable: increased footfall and dwell time, higher sales of coffee and snacks, rising till takings and Facebook engagement, and clear insights for merchandising—outcomes that Nisa plans to scale across its estate.
