McDonald’s Belgium partnered with Purple (alongside Cisco Meraki and Socialspot) to replace a poor, unreliable guest WiFi across more than 80 restaurants. The chain needed a fast, free and secure network to improve the dining experience and capture customer insights as part of a wider digital transformation.
Purple deployed its WiFi analytics platform with captive login (OneClick/Facebook), automated marketing via LogicFlow and custom splash pages, giving McDonald’s a consistent connection plus demographic and behavioral data. Since May 2017 the rollout has supported 8.8 million restaurant visits and collected 2.5 million unique visitor records (May ’17–Aug ’19), boosted campaign visibility and app downloads, and enabled targeted marketing expected to increase conversions.
