KITAG Cinemas premieres secure guest WiFi thanks to a solution from Disney, Purple and Vision-Inside AG

KITAG Cinemas, the largest cinema operator in German‑speaking Switzerland with 85 venues and over 17,000 seats, was struggling with patchy 3G/4G coverage and needed a way to improve the in‑theatre customer experience while capturing visitor details for targeted marketing. KITAG partnered with Purple to deploy Purple’s WiFi and analytics solution (installed by Vision‑Inside AG using Zyxel hardware) to deliver high‑speed guest WiFi and capture customer demographics and contact information.

Purple’s platform provided a fully branded splash page (Disney‑sponsored redirect), social or form login and detailed analytics; KITAG has since captured roughly 9,228 new customer records (nearly 10,000), with 68% of users registering via the form, and used the data to feed CRM campaigns and promote their app. The Purple solution led to measurable engagement gains including a 25% increase in Facebook likes and significant page impressions, enabling more effective, targeted marketing to KITAG’s core audience.
