Hudson Yards New York, Related’s 28-acre, 18‑million‑square‑foot “city within a city,” needed next‑generation visitor analytics and a branded WiFi experience to understand guest behavior, capture marketing data, and drive ROI across retail, offices and public spaces. To meet this challenge the development partnered with Purple (alongside Cisco and AT&T) to deploy an analytics and guest WiFi solution.

Purple’s cloud software was installed over 2,000 Cisco access points to deliver a captive‑portal, social‑login WiFi journey and custom splash pages. In the first five months Hudson Yards recorded 500,000+ visits and captured 300,000+ CRM records; that data is now being used by Related for sponsored content, remarketing and operational insights that will inform other properties. Purple enabled the data capture and analytics that produced these measurable results.
