How AGS Airports achieved an 842% ROI using Purple’s tiered bandwidth capabilities to drive additional revenue from WiFi users

AGS Airports, which operates airports in Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Southampton, wanted to turn its 5.6 million annual WiFi users into a new revenue stream while also collecting valid passenger data for remarketing. Working with Purple, the airport group sought a way to offer both free and premium WiFi access through its guest WiFi service.

Purple implemented tiered bandwidth, captive portal, and Verify across all three sites, allowing AGS Airports to offer a paid premium WiFi option with faster speeds and longer access while ensuring email addresses collected were legitimate. The result was an additional £284,388 in revenue from premium WiFi, a 2.5% conversion rate to paid access, and an 842% return on investment for AGS Airports with Purple.
