Farmacorp, the largest pharmacy chain in Bolivia, engaged Purple to tackle three problems: collect more in-store customer data, reduce long average dwell/wait times (about 50 minutes), and improve the ROI of digital and email marketing. Purple deployed its WiFi analytics and guest WiFi captive portal solutions, plus a WiFi Marketing splash-page capability, to capture customer details and behavior at store level.

Purple implemented a captive portal with field forms and social sign-in, overlaid analytics and a centralized reporting dashboard, and a splash-page ad program that fed enriched customer data into Farmacorp’s CRM. The results: customer records increased by 83% (vs. a 50% target), average in-store dwell time fell to about 26 minutes, and targeted campaigns delivered a 644% ROI through the captive-portal advertising program.
