Boreal Mountain Resort partnered with Purple to solve two problems: provide reliable, resort-wide guest WiFi and capture guest contact data (ticket-window signups were impractical due to queues and gloves). Purple supplied a captive WiFi login portal and API connectivity (integrating with Inntopia) to collect customer details at login.

Purple’s captive portal lets guests connect via a short registration or social login and pushes that data into Boreal’s Inntopia Marketing Cloud for cleansing and enrichment. In 18 months Boreal captured over 40,000 email addresses (129,294 cumulative WiFi users; avg. 3,803/month, 891/day), delivering major database growth, better-targeted marketing, and improved revenue and repeat-visit potential.
