Alhambra take advantage of new collaboration between Purple WiFi and Ruckus Wireless

The Alhambra Centre, a 170,000 sq ft shopping centre in the North of England with around 40 retailers, had no free WiFi and needed a cost-effective, easy-to-manage solution to offer customers online access, increase dwell time and drive shoppers to its website and social channels. Marketing Manager Stephanie Higham selected the Purple WiFi solution in collaboration with Ruckus Wireless to meet requirements for visitor login tracking, purpose and timing data to inform future marketing.

Purple and Ruckus installed a six‑AP network with hardware located back of house, delivering a fast, reliable service that was tested and live by Christmas. The Purple management portal gives the centre a simple login to see who is connecting and where they are in the centre, providing valuable consumer insight for more effective marketing campaigns; staff and retailers report improved connectivity and the centre is now able to drive online engagement and plan promotions based on real usage data.
