a 598mw combined cycle power plant avoids downtime with Puretec Industrial Water’s 150 gpm emergency RO and deionization trailers

During an intense heat wave, a 598mw combined cycle power plant in the Nevada desert faced a critical water crisis. The plant had an urgent need for 150 gpm of high-purity water but its only available source was brackish and unsuitable. Puretec Industrial Water swiftly responded to this challenge with its emergency mobile deionization and reverse osmosis trailers.

Puretec deployed a comprehensive solution involving one reverse osmosis trailer to pretreat the brackish water and two mobile deionizer trailers for continuous filtration. This setup removed over 98% of the incoming conductivity and significantly extended the service periods of the trailers. Puretec's rapid response and innovative approach ensured the power plant remained operational without disruption, minimizing logistical challenges and reducing operational costs for the duration of the emergency.
